Owner and Executive Chef Joe Jack moved to Puerto Vallarta from San Francisco where he was co-owner and chef of Luna Park, his two phenomenally successful restaurants in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Joe has followed his dream of living in Mexico where he opened Joe Jack’s Fish Shack with a cozy bar and restaurant on the main floor and a beautiful open air terrace on the upstairs deck.

As with his previous ventures in the States, Joe’s goal in Vallarta is to create a fun, “casually hip” experience all the while focusing on traditional great tasting seafood with comfort food classics and perfect hand crafted cocktails.

Now going into its tenth year, Joe Jack’s Fish Shack has firmly established itself as a go-to favorite within the eclectic Vallarta restaurant scene.

Still Good

Had lunch here twice during our stay. Had the fish tacos while the wife had the fish sandwich both of which were excellent if to much for us to eat. The next time we shared the fish sandwich. The service as always was very good.
